110413 KIMCHI Press Conference – Full Report (koreanupdates.com)

It is a pleasure for us to attend the KIMCHI (Korean Idols Music Concert Hosted in Indonesia) Press Conference at Sands Ballroom 1, today, 14th April 2011 to clear out all the issues regarding the concert which going to be held in Jakarta this 4th June 2011, this show is supported by South Korean Embassy in Jakarta.

For your information, KIMCHI will be featuring Super Junior (10 members), Park Jung Min (SS501), The Boss (DGNA/DNA), Girl’s Day and finally rookie idol group X-5. The concert venue will be at Istora Senayan. No other artists will be performing except the 5 of them!

Many are wondering that will Super Junior comes in full team – here is 10 members -, Mr. Sean as the Managing Director of WProduction answered that according to the contract wproduction signed with SM Entertainment, they will come for KIMCHI as 10 members. And you can be happy for that.

Also Why X-5, a relatively new kpop idol group is in KIMCHI? According to Mr. Sean, X-5 comes with The Boss as they are in the same company and Wproduction would like to expose X-5 to the Indonesian kpop lovers.

Mr. Sean also said that the audience target for this concert is 7,000 people as that is the maximum capacity of the Istora Senayan.

He added about the ticket prices which are expensive are because of the venue capacity, they already tried their best to serve the demand by providing tribune 2 tickets. People are comparing KIMCHI to the ticket price in Singapore, Singapore Indoor Stadium can hold up to 12,000 people, so they couldn’t do it as the venue capacity in Jakarta is very different compare to Malaysia’s Bukit Jalil and Singapore’s Indoor Stadium.

And for your information, Istora Senayan is a venue that has been chosen by the Korean management, it is the most suitable place to hold KIMCHI.

If you are still wondering if KIMCHI is for real, yes, Mr. Sean answered it firmly that they have signed the contract and already fulfilled the contract demand. Wproduction has never cancelled any concerts, and Wproduction is the one who bring Rain for World Tour and Kimbum fanmeeting.

Super Junior is the main performer for this event, and rumors said that they will only sing for 2 songs, in other kpop festival like this, usually the performers will sing at least 4 songs, so Super Junior as the main performer, they will sing for more than 4 (four) songs. Super Junior is scheduled to be performed last in KIMCHI.

So don’t hesitate to buy KIMCHI Ticket at the public sales in Blitz Atrium, Grand Indonesia 17th April 2011 starting at 10AM till at most 10PM. Public sales will have limited ticket quotas as at most around 20% of the KIMCHI Tickets will be on sale at online ticket boxes which will be announced later.

There are only 5 tickets: Tribune 2, Tribune 1, Festival 1, Festival 2, and VIP, so there is no Exclusive VIP priced 3 million.

Ticket Price:
VIP : Rp.2.500.000.,00 ~ Numbered seating.
Festival 1: Rp.2.000.000.,00 ~ Free standing.
Festival 2: Rp.1.500.000.,00 ~ Free standing.
Tribune 1: Rp.2.000.000,00 ~ Free seating.
Tribune 2: Rp.550.000,00 ~ Free seating.

Lastly, a question asked by other media about any special demand from the performers, Mr. Sean jokes that most Korean performers would like Kimchi to be provided. Please never trust any news out of these information given, and you can go to WPROD EVENT PAGE: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=196154023756206 and WPROD TWITTER: http://www.twitter.com/wproductions08 for the real information.

P.S: There will Korean Culture Festival in October according to Mr. Kim Hyun Ki.

Super Junior’s first Super Show 3 in Japan has finally finished after three days. On his own Twitter, Eunhyuk tweeted “‘Super 3’ in Japan has safely finished. I genuinely want to thank the fans who have cooperated with us so well for the past 3 days. I hope it becomes a good memory for you guys. Members and staff all worked very hard! I want to come back to Japan again next time.”

Along with the tweet, he posted up a picture of himself. In this picture, Eunhyuk posed with the signature V-sign and eyes wide open. A celebrity usually known for his gummy smile, he is shown with his mouth closed tight.

[news] 110131 Super Junior wants to bring Super Show 4 to the rest of the World

Super Junior wants to bring Super Show 4 to the rest of the World
After conquering and wowing Asia with a series of Super Shows through the years, a fifth album and world domination is on Super Junior’s agenda for 2011

Local fans of Korean boyband Super Junior waited long and hard before the group’s Super Show concert finally made it to our shores.

On Saturday night, five years after their debut in 2005, the boys held their first sold-out concert in Singapore to a full house crowd of 6,000 ardent fans. They went on to throw an equally resounding successful second show yesterday after a press conference with the local media in the late afternoon.

Previously confined to the boundaries of Asia, international fans around the world have more reason to celebrate in 2011.

The prolific group has plans to bring a brand new Super Show 4 showcase to the rest of the world “after the release of their fifth album” this year, so says band leader Leeteuk, 27, when asked to share on the group’s plans and goals for 2011.

“We won’t restrict it [Super Show 4] to only Asia”, he smilingly adds, during an interview with xinmsn yesterday at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Shindong, Siwon, Donghae, Ryeowook, and Yesung

Before the press conference and interview, members of the media were told to submit their questions beforehand for the Korean management’s perusal. When xinmsn tried to further probe the members to share more about their upcoming fifth album, their Korean publicist stepped in and restricted the media from asking any other questions surrounding the topic.

Siwon and Hee Chul from Super Junior sharing a handshake

This is the group’s second visit to Singapore after their first whirlwind stopover in June last year and the boys are “honoured” to be the first Korean group to hold a two-day concert on our little isle.

Global superstars they may be, they sure didn’t come across as standoffish or haughty with their mannerisms and gestures.

Speaking of diehard fans who unflinchingly queued day and night in the continuous torrential rains over the weekend, Eunhyuk, the group’s best dancer, earnestly expressed, “We’re so touched by fans that despite the rainy weather and heavy downpours, they are all outside in the downpour waiting for us.

Eunhyuk and Leeteuk

“We are really touched by the support.”

At one point during the press conference, leader Leeteuk even got up from his seat and offered a reporter his microphone during the Q&A segment, setting off a wave of exclamations as he charmed the entire floor with his affable presence.

Standing before the reporter, he commented on the fender bender both he and Heechul met with on the highway after landing in Singapore on Friday evening.

Lee Teuk earnestly listening to the reporter’s question

Despite the close call which involved seven vehicles, the duo emerged unscathed from the incident and had nothing but words of concern for their fans.

“As long as my fans are fine, we are fine,” Heechul, 27, coolly replied, grinning from ear to ear.

Leeteuk chimed in, “In future for security reasons, we want fans to be careful and take care of themselves too.”

During the interview, when asked to share on little quirks and weird habits practiced by various members of the group, Heechul, who was initially ousted as “the one” looked a little flabbergasted when the microphone was placed in his hands.

After a little deliberation amongst themselves, the boys eventually revealed that the group’s vocalist, Yesung, had a queer habit of “drinking lots of energy drinks before the concert starts.”

Apparently the 26-year-old also believes that computer games are a strong indication of a concert’s success and failure.

“He loves to play computer games related to sports. And if the games don’t go well, he believes that the concert won’t go well,” the boys chuckled, sending the room of people into peals of laughter.
